Pence Earns Second Team All-Conference Honors; Lansaw Named to Sportsmanship Team
BELLEVILLE, IL -- Senior Cara Pence and freshman Naomi Lansaw earned St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors as voted on by the leagues coaches.
BELLEVILLE, IL -- Senior Cara Pence and freshman Naomi Lansaw earned St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason honors as voted on by the leagues coaches.
Pence was named Second Team All-SLIAC after leading the Beavers with 307 kills on the season while averaging 3.04 kills per set. Her total kills placed her sixth in the league while her 3.04 kills per set put her eighth. She reached double-figure kills in 12 conference matches, including a season high 20 in the team's match at Eureka College.
Lansaw appeared in 13 matches in her debut season and finished with five kills, nine assists, 33 digs and four aces.
The team finished their season Thursday in the SLIAC Tournament.
