RIVER FOREST, IL - Blackburn College Volleyball visited Dominican University Tuesday night for a nonconference matchup. The Stars took victory in the match 3-0.
Senior Cara Pence led the BC offensive attack with 12 kills. Junior Payton Moeglin added seven and senior Jessica Muckensturm chipped in with six. Sophomore Kenadee Frey notched 25 assists.
Sophomore Bailey Bennett finished the match with a team-best 15 digs. Moeglin posted 14 digs while Frey had 13.
Dominican took an early lead and pulled ahead 18-11 in the first set but the Beavers rallied to pull within 21-19, but it would not be enough as the hosts took the set 25-23. The Stars then powered ahead to take the next set 25-13 and the third set 25-19.
Blackburn returns to action Friday by visiting Hanover College to take on Hanover and Kenyon University.
