Blackburn Women's Golf Competes at SLIAC Championships
Women's Golf took part in the SLIAC Championships over three days
UNION, MO -- Blackburn College competed at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships and came away with defeating two teams. Facing a significant hilly course, the Beavers finished with two among the top 30 finishers.
Senior Caidy Tuetken led the team with a top-25 finish. Tuetken highlighted her appearance with a birdie on the second hole of her second round. For the event, she posted rounds of 95 on day one and day two but saved her best for the final round as she scored an 89. She was also named to the All Sportsmanship Team.
Senior Allison Woolard was second for the Beavers and placed 30th overall with a final score of 294. She also achieved two birdies over the three days, recording one in both her second and third rounds.
Junior Cheresse Mitchell and and Rylee Lovelace rounded out the individual performers for Blackburn. Mitchell highlighted her weekend with her first career birdie in her first year of collegiate golf.
