Blackburn Falls to Fontbonne 71-55

The Blackburn Beavers lost to the Griffins of Fontbonne 71-55 in a game in which the bench provided 25 points. The Beavers were lead in scoring and minutes by Savannah Kruse (32). Kruse put on a strong showing both defensively and offensively and was making plays when her team needed them. The home team also received a huge boost from the bench by Callista Francis (42) and Maria Cline (2), as they lead the game on the boards and provided 18 points combined. The Beavers rallied around her coming out of halftime on a hot shooting streak. However, it was not enough as the Beaver offense accounted for 31 turnovers. This was the crucial key in the game as the Griffins accounted for only 15, less than half of the Beaver total.
