Iowa Wesleyan University used a big second half to turn back the Blackburn College Women's Basketball Team, 68-39, on Saturday afternoon in Carlinville.
The Tigers, playing in their seventh game of the season, jumped out to a 16-12 first quarter lead. In the second period, Iowa Wesleyan led by as many as seven points.
The Beavers came out in the second half struggling to catch up to to the Tigers.
For Blackburn, Aleisha Stiltner led the Beavers in scoring with ten points.
Iowa Wesleyan, which improved to 3-4 on the season, was led in scoring by Jamie Hurd with 18 points.
Blackburn, now 0-6 on the season, will be on the road Decamber 10th to take on Fontbonne at 1 pm in St Louis.
