Kerry Crum is entering his third year as the Head Women's Softball Coach at Blackburn College. Prior to Blackburn, Crum served as the Head Women's Softball Coach at Benedictine University of Springfield. During his first two seasons at Benedictine his teams saw a win increase of 17 games.
Prior to Benedictine, Crum, a resident of Springfield, was head coach at Springfield Southeast High School for 15 seasons. During his term at Southeast, his teams won 300 contests, four conference championships and the school's only regional championship.
Crum was a competitive fast pitch softball player for over 30 years and continues to teach pitching lessons in the Springfield area.
At native of Brockton, Illinois, a small town in Eastern Illinois, Crum played baseball at Parkland Junior College in Champaign, Illinois before graduating from the University of Illinois in 1975. Crum later obtained his master's degree in 1988 from Sangamon State University which is now the University of Illinois at Springfield.
