Kerry Crum is entering his 5th season at Blackburn. Previously, he spent 3 years at Benedictine in Springfield, where the 2014 team won 27 games, a school record, and qualified for post season play.
Prior to that, he served as a high school softball coach for 15 years, with his teams winning 0ver 300 games, 4 conference, and one regional title.
After playing college baseball, he went on to pitch competitive men’s fast pitch for 30 years.
Crum is originally from Brocton, Il and a University of Illinois grad. He has a Masters in Education from University, and spent 34 years as a teacher-coach, mostly in Springfield, Il.
He and his wife Kathy have 5 children, and 8 grandchildren, plus an assortment of grand dogs and cats!
During his down time, Coach Crum enjoys golfing and boating, plus family time.
