Lauren Rhodes Named Conference Player of the Week

Blackburn College Freshman Lauren Rhodes was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for the week of March 12-18.  Rhodes, a freshman from Yorkville, hit .594 on the teams' recent spring trip.  Rhodes went 19 for 32 with 21 runs batted in and also 16 runs scored.  She also had four homeruns and four doubles during the trip.

In addition to her hitting, Rhodes was 3-0 pitching with a 3.18 earned run average.  In 22 innings pitched she walked four and struck out twelve.

The Beavers just completed a very successful spring trip where the team went 7-2 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
