Bio

Noah Daum became the Head Coach of Cross Country and Track and Field at Blackburn College in June of 2024.

During his first year leading the Beavers, Daum oversaw improvements in team depth, consistency, and competitiveness, with athletes setting personal records across the cross country season, and school records during the indoor and outdoor track seasons. Blackburn student-athletes showed continued development in distance events, sprints, relays, and field events, showing growth across the roster.

Daum returned to Blackburn in 2024 after graduating from the college in 2018, where he was a four-year runner in cross country for the Beavers. He ran for Blackburn prior to the addition of a varsity track and field program, giving him a unique perspective on the program’s expansion and long-term potential.

In addition to on-the-ground coaching, Daum has experience working in a remote coaching environment. Prior to his return, Daum began serving as a running coach with Spewak Training in St. Louis, Missouri. There, he designed individualized training plans for athletes ranging from first-time racers to experienced competitors, emphasizing development, consistency, and athlete well being. His athletes achieved personal best performances across a variety of distances from 5K to marathon while balancing training with professional and personal demands.

Daum is a Road Runners Club of America nationally certified running coach. As he enters his second track and field season at Blackburn, he remains focused on building a program rooted in accountability, steady progress, and pride in representing Blackburn College both on and off the track.
