Blackburn Runs at SLIAC Championships
VALLEY PARK, MO -- The Blackburn College Men's Cross Country team placed sixth at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with three runners placing among the top 30 finishers.
Junior Sam Burrows placed 20th with a time of 30:10.79 to lead the Beavers.
Freshman Izaiah Watkins came in at 31:05.77 for 26th place. Junior Collyn Oberkfell took 30th and finished the course in 32:07.54.
Junior Ulises Espinoza took 36th with freshman Sam Schoeneweis, junior Christian Miller and senior Kobe Patton rounded out the team's finishers. Schoeneweis was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
As a team, the Beavers saw a 59 point improvement over the 2024 squad, and finished ahead of Lyon College, Mississippi University for Women and Westminster College.
