Golfers Take on Westminster; Compete at Monmouth Spring Invite
CARLINVILLE, IL -- Blackburn College Men's and Women's Golf took on Westminster College on April 6 then followed it by competing in the Monmouth Spring Invite over the weekend.
CARLINVILLE, IL -- Blackburn College Men's and Women's Golf took on Westminster College on April 6 then followed it by competing in the Monmouth Spring Invite over the weekend.
At Westminster, senior Kevin Hall led the Beavers with a round of 80 at the Eagle Knoll Golf Course in Hartsburg, Missouri. Senior Jacob Sauvage was second with a round of 84. Senior Connor Partin, 88, and freshman Talon Horton rounded out the team scores.
On the women's side, senior Allison Woolard finished second while junior Cheresse Mitchell finished fourth.
At Monmouth, Hall took fourth overall and was just two strokes off the lead after posting rounds of 74 and 77 for a total of 151. Horton notched a final score of 172 while Sauvage was right behind him at 174.
Junior Colton Bultema and senior Partin rounded out the men's team performers.
Woolard led the women's team while Mitchell also competed.
The teams return to action on Monday, April 20 with a meet against Eureka College. The men's team will then conclude their season at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on April 26-28.
