Beavers Fall to Scots on the Road
BATESVILLE, AR– The Blackburn Men’s Basketball team were on the road facing off with the Scots of Lyon College. The Beavers lost to the Scots, 84-53.

BATESVILLE, AR– The Blackburn Men's Basketball team were on the road facing off with the Scots of Lyon College. The Beavers lost to the Scots, 84-53.
The Beavers were led by sophomore Odis Grissom and Senior Brody Barr. Grissom with 11 points, 3 steals, and 100% from the line. Barr contributed 7 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds.
Junior Nick Cook puts the Beavers on the board with a 4 point stretch. The Scots lead by 5 points early in the first half. Junior Tyson Johnson drains a three pointer along with a step back jumper from junior Darius Duff. Off the bench, Junior Caleb Schaab knocked off another three pointer to help the Beavers stay competitive in this first half. The Scots pull away going into the half 42-20.
Out of the half, Grissom with a jump shot and Cook with a layup. The Beavers still trailed the Scots. Duff with the 4th three pointer. With 5 minutes left in the game the Scots are dominant with a double digit lead. Back-to-back three pointers from sophomores Kameron Hanvey and Ayson McLuskie. The Scots stay ahead and finish the game defeating the Beavers.
The men, along with the women, are back in Carlinville tomorrow facing off with the Gorloks of Webster.
