CJ Brunaugh named to SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team
BELLEVILLE, IL -- Senior C.J. Brunaugh was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.
BELLEVILLE, IL -- Senior C.J. Brunaugh was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.
Brunaugh helped guide the baseball team to improvements on their wins, batting average, slugging percentage and on base percentage. They also scored more runs, had more hits, doubles, and triples than the previous season.
This year, Brunaugh posted career highs with 30 hits, 13 runs batted in, and a .275 batting average. He also had two doubles and two home runs, where were also career bests.
Previously, he was named the B-Man of the Year, and award given to the top senior athlete that best exemplify the meaning of a Blackburn College student-athlete. Items considered for candidates include contribution to the athletic department, all-conference performance, academic performance, and all around campus citizenship.
Brunaugh was also given the Service Award, an award that goes to the student-athlete that best exemplifies the meaning of a Blackburn College student-athlete through giving back to the campus and local community.
