LOUISVILLE, KY -- The Blackburn College Baseball team hit the road Tuesday to take on St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Spalding University in conference play but were unable to defeat the defending league champions.
Spalding took the opener 11-0 and followed it by winning the second game 22-0.
The Beavers return to return Thursday and will host nonconference foe Maranatha Baptist University for the first home games of the season.
