Bailey Kasprowicz Earns SLIAC Pitcher of the Week

BELLEVILLE, IL -- Freshman pitcher Bailey Kasprowicz of Blackburn College Baseball was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the week after allowing just one run in three appearance. 

Kasprowicz picked up his first career win after guiding the Beavers to a 10-1 victory Saturday over Principia College to open SLIAC play. In the game, the freshman went eight innings, threw six strikeouts and allowed just one run. 

He also appeared in two games against Dallas Christian where he allowed just one hit and no runs. 

In ten innings of work, he allowed just one run to post an earned run average of just 0.90. 

The baseball team returns to action Tuesday when they head to Spalding University for more SLIAC play.
