Dan Hussey was named head women's tennis coach at Blackburn College prior to the 2008 season.
An experienced player and teacher of the game, Hussey is in his third stint with the program. He also served in the same capacity from 1995-2000 and coached two all-conference / flight winners. Hussey was honored as St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 1997.
A longtime educator, Hussey retired from a long teaching career in the Carlinville school district in 2007 and has coached many sports on various levels. He and his wife, Judy, also an educator, reside in Carlinville. The couple has four daughters, some of whom have also played competitive tennis.
