Stiltner's Three Pointer Gives Women's Basketball First Win

Aleisha Stiltner's Three-pointer with less than one second remaining lifted the Blackburn College Women's Basketball Team to a 58-57 St. Louis Intercollegiate Conference victory on Wednesday night in Jacksonville.

The back and forth contest, though sloppy, stayed close to lead up to a thrilling ending. With the Beavers trailing 55-52 with 18 seconds remaining, Stiltner drilled a three to tie the game. She finished with a game high 27 points.  MacMurray came back down the floor and took the lead on a basket with seven seconds remaining.  The Beavers came down the floor and Stiltner nailed the game-winning shot.

The teams combined for 64 fouls and 44 turnovers in the 2-hour contest.  The thrilling ending made up for the first 39 minutes especially for the Beavers who are now 1-17 on the season and 1-10 in the SLIAC. MacMurray is now 1-18, and 0-12.
