With the Blackburn Men's Golf team playing their best golf of the season heading into the SLIAC Tournament, the Beavers made the most of it by shooting a team score of 306 in round one, and 311 in the second round. The SLIAC conference tournament is a grueling tournament that test every golfer's patience and endurance. Playing 36 holes on the first day (round one and round two) pushes all the golfers to the limit. Leading the way for the Beavers in the first round was Junior Kyle Kesinger who shot an 74. Following close behind was Sophomore Anthony Harper and Junior Trenton Easley who both shot 76. Closing out the scoring for round one was Freshman, Keegan Easley who shot an 80, putting the team score at 306. In the second round, three Beavers tallied the same score of 76, those players were Jordan McMillen, Trenton Easley, and Keegan Easley. Rounding out the second round scoring was Kyle Kesinger and Anthony Harper who shot 83. The Beavers shot a second round team score of 311. Trenton Easley currently sits alone at sixth place as an individual. Keegan Easley sits just outside the top ten at T-11. Kesinger sits two shots out of the top ten, and Harper and McMillen are 4 shots out of the top ten.
Leading the tournament currently is Webster University with rounds of 295 and 306.
The Beavers look to hit the links tomorrow as they will be in the final pairings with Webster and Iowa Wesleyan.
